What Is the Southlake Foundation Student Leadership Program?

The aim of SFSLP is to introduce enrichment opportunities for Southlake young leaders to become service-minded leaders while motivating and supporting them to build a socially conscious society through civic engagement, and early involvement in their field of interest. SFSLP’s goal is to inspire these student leaders to be problem solvers, decision-makers, and future leaders in our community.

Malaika Nair led and organized a music group to perform for seniors at Harbor Chase Assisted Living.

This program will enable students to assess their strengths and weaknesses, build confidence, take responsibilities and ability to meet their goals. This program will also provide a safe environment for students to interact with others in a professional setting, and opportunity to work as a team towards common goal. It will not only give them the ability to assess and recognize the ability of others, but also influence in a positive manner and become mentors for the younger students.

Student leaders Jiya Sharma and Dhruvi Gari helped host a Career Connections Event for high school and middle school students.

SFSLP will provide the opportunities to the students to organize and lead the community events, give & attend seminars on various topics, meet industry and community leaders, and build a professional and social network. This program will be open to 7th-12th grade Southlake students.

SFSLP youth served lunch to the city's staff and republic services personnel.
