Harbor Chase Visitm

August 1st, 2022

Southlake Foundation youth leaders performed a musical concert for Harbor Chase seniors in Southlake. Our talented student leaders put on an amazing musical show, which the residents thoroughly enjoyed. Several seniors were singing along, moving their arms and tapping their feet to the music. They thanked the students and invited them to come back. One of the residents said, "In 5-6 years, these kids will be something big." Kudos to Southlake Foundation Student Leaders.

Thank you Southlake Initiative.

Today, SFSLP Youth served lunch to our amazing city's staff, who works tirelessly to keep our city great. John Huffman, Mayor of Southlake attended the lunch and delivered a motivational and encouraging speech to our youth leaders in recognition of their community service. Council member Kathy Talley expressed appreciation for the young aspiring youth’s commitment to community service. Youth leaders participated in an interactive session with key city personnel. It was very informative and provided an opportunity to learn about the city's operations in detail. Kristine Kemp, Karl Chester, and Virginia Hinkle helped with the lunch planning.

Thank you Southlake Initiative.

Southlake DPS Appreciation

July 20, 2022

Appreciation lunches were provided to our amazing Southlake DPS and Fire department personnel as part of the Southlake Foundation's "Thank you Southlake" initiative. Officer Kelly Clements provided an overview of the Fire Department, and Ashleigh Casey, Assistant Chief of Police, and Detectives spoke about DPS. They were available for questions from young volunteers. Youth leaders had a fantastic time doing community service and learning about how DPS works. Thanks to Valerie Snyder and Renni Burt for making this happen.

Youth Leaders - Texas Health

July 21, 2022

Youth leaders from Southlake Foundation thank Traci Bernard, President, Texas Health Hospital, Southlake, and Jenni Lanier, Manager, for giving them a tour of the hospital and providing a detailed outlook on the inner workings of a hospital. It was a rich learning experience. Traci and Jenni answered questions from the young leaders in an informative Q/A session. It was a brilliant educational experience for the kids.
