Over the years, SLF has demonstrated a strong commitment to supporting students and community members through a variety of impactful initiatives. To amplify its efforts and maximize its impact, SLF envisioned a more structured and organized approach. This vision inspired the creation of the SLF LEAP Program—a dynamic, student-led initiative designed to expand its reach and formalize its mission.
The LEAP Program-centered on Leadership, Entrepreneurship, and Academic Partnerships-aims to empower students by fostering their leadership and entrepreneurial abilities. Through collaborations with schools and academic institutions, the program creates opportunities for academic research, internships, and innovative learning experiences.

The SLF LEAP Program has already delivered several impactful events:

  • SLF Healthcare Summit (9/28/2024): Brought together students, community members, and professionals to explore the intersections of business, healthcare, and innovation. Attendees engaged with physicians, healthcare business owners, and industry entrepreneurs.
  • BLS and CPR Certification (9/28/2024): Certified over 93 students in essential lifesaving techniques.
  • Speech and Oratory Event (12/2024): For middle and high school students to build self-confidence and public speaking skills.
  • Dragon’s Lair: A Shark Tank-style competition where students pitch business ideas, fostering creativity and entrepreneurial thinking.
  • Academic Partnerships: Collaborates with educational institutions to support innovative initiatives and enhance learning opportunities for students.
Career Connection Summit 2024-

Southlake Foundation is hosting it’s second annual Career Connection Summit on March 23rd, 2024 at Southlake Senior High School from 11:00AM – 2:00PM. We would like to invite companies from various industries to participate and represent your company and take this opportunity to speak to middle & high school students as they prepare to go to college. Your advice and guidance will be invaluable for the students in selecting appropriate major and career path.
