BEST CIVIC ORGANIZATION AWARD & WINNER
The fun run attracted nearly 1,000 attendees.
Southlake got colorful during the annual United We Run color event last weekend.
Hosted by the Southlake Foundation, United We Run is a fun run where participants threw colors at each other. With this year marking the Southlake Foundation’s second annual event, United We Run was an overwhelming success, with 300 registered runners, an additional 300 people participating in the color throw and over $5,000 being raised for the Carroll Education Foundation.
With 39 booths and tables featuring local businesses, nonprofits and sponsors, Southlake Foundation president Kush Rao says he estimated that a crowd of nearly 1,000 people came out to United We Run.
“Overall, the community’s participation was outstanding,” Kush says. “It really is bringing the community together.”
